Absolutely! Our recipes have been researched extensively and have gone through many feeding trials over several years. Our recipes are proven to be a nutritious, complete and balanced diet for your dog.

How much do I feed my dog?

Like humans, a dog's metabolism can vary greatly. The exact portion to feed your dog depends on your dogs weight, individual metabolism, age, and activity level. After starting Chompster monitor your dog's weight and adjust accordingly. You may find that you don't need to feed your dog as much because the nutrients in Chompster are more digestible than other foods. Please refer to the Chompster Daily Feeding Guide below for recommended portions and general guidelines.

General Guidelines:
(1) As dogs mature, they require fewer calories to maintain their weight (could drop by as much as 25%)
(2) Working dogs, puppies and highly active dogs will be on the higher end of the feeding scale
(3) Larger dogs have slower metabolisms than smaller dogs
(4) Don't forget to factor calories and nutrition found in the treats that your dog is given daily. Treats should make up no more than 10% of your dogs diet.

Is Chompster better than a raw diet?

Due to the dangers of the raw meat diet, we believe that Chompster is a much safer option for your pet. According to the FDA, a raw meat diet for animals is not consistent with the goal of protecting the public from significant health risks, particularly when such products are brought into the home and/or used to feed domestic pets. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) make the following statement on their website concerning raw dog foods: “CDC does not recommend feeding raw diets to pets. Germs like Salmonella and Listeria bacteria have been found in raw pet foods, even packaged ones sold in stores. These germs can make your pets sick. Your family also can get sick by handling the raw food or by taking care of your pet."

In addition to the dangers of raw meat, most raw meat meals are made with limited ingredients. We believe in the nutritional importance of all of our 26 carefully selected, human-grade ingredients. With Chompster, you are providing a safe, balanced and nutritious diet that your dog will love.
